CoEx Master Pillow Crimper
Designed to crimp and seal up to 8 or 12 rows of centre filled or hollow tubes from the exit of a twin screw cooker extruder. Comprises an infeed conveyor with guides to separate the rows of product as they leave the extruder.
The crimping head has two vertically mounted synchronised rotating crimping rolls. Crimp depth is adjustable to allow sealed product or pillows to remain in continuous ribbons to downstream processing but still allow for clean breaking into individual pieces.
An inclined discharge conveyor forms part of the specification to transfer product to downstream processing. If this is a wide band dryer a reciprocating oscillating conveyor can be supplied. All conveyors and the crimp rolls have independent speed control.
The unit is mounted on castors for ease of removal from line and
comes complete with machine mounted electrical control panel.
Standard rolls have 24 blades, alternative rolls with different
number of blades are available as are angled, shaped or helical
blades.
