FlakeMaster Flaking Roll
A high output unit producing high quality flakes from wheat, corn, bran based cereals. Outputs up to 1000 kg per hour while keeping the roll gap and roll surface temperature constant. Heavy duty construction with unique gap control and roll temperature systems. The rolls are made from hardened alloy steel and are mounted in a mild steel frame capable of exerting enormous clamping forces to flake the product.
The first roll is held rigid whilst the second roll pivots on the main frame. Hydraulic cylinders mounted at each end of the roll shaft pull the pivoting housing assembly towards the fixed roll maintaining constant pressure on the product as it passes through the roll gap. There is a sophisticated system for accurate roll gap adjustment. A compact hydraulic power unit is fitted to operate the clamps and three options of gap control are offered.
Roll surface temperature is accurately maintained utilising cooling water pumped through channels just below roll surface. Hygienic clean lines give maximum accessibility for cleaning. The roll scraper blades are pneumatically controlled to exert constant pressure on roll surface and are made from a special material for prolonged life.
Drive options include hydraulic geared motor drive or torque arm
gearbox drive. Other options can include differential roll speeds,
oscillating scraper knives, feeders, discharge conveyor.
