BPF 200 Extruder

Receives the extrudate via a pipe die from a twin screw cooker extruder. The product is cooled and formed into pellets prior to conditioning and then flaking. Outputs up to 1000 kg per hour can be achieved.

The barrel is constructed from a special alloy steel in tubular section, and houses a single screw 200mm in diameter constructed from stainless steel, with flight tips in a special wear resistant alloy. Barrel length is fixed at 10 diameters. Barrel cooling is by circulating cold water directly onto the barrel liners. This gives maximum cooling efficiency and good pellet formation. The screw is also cored for water cooling. Die plate is available in a standard form for pellets. Other designs can be produced on request.

Extruder comes with a machine mounted, roll away, adjustable die face cutter with a multi-bladed knife with a variable speed drive. Forced air ventilation of the die face is included further cooling the product. Low operating speeds minimise screw and barrel wear. Extruder main drive is by DC Variable Speed Motor and Gear Reducer. Extruder is provided pre-wired with all controls.

Options include air conveyor for pellet transportation.
