CoEx Master Cream Feed
This unit stores and supplies the cream to the twin screw extruder for co-extruded products such as filled pillows and tubes. The stainless steel hopper is fed with cream from a remote batch mixer. The hopper is fitted with a stirrer, at the base of the hopper is an agitator pusher which moves the cream into a screw auger feeding the cream metering pumps.
One auger can feed two pumps for metering cream to two rows of product. A second auger is fitted where four pumps are used for four rows of products. The agitator and auger have a common variable speed drive. The tri-lobe metering pumps have independent variable speed drives. The stainless steel hopper is jacketed for hot water and is mounted on lockable castors to allow for moving away for cleaning.
A safety interlocked grid type lid is included, which gives
minimum resistance when filling with cream. Unit can be fed direct
from cream mixing area if required.
