Washover Unit

This unit is used to apply egg solution, milk, or similar liquids onto the surface of the unbaked biscuit or cookie dough face.  When baked it gives the product a characteristic sheen, improving the appearance.

The unit is normally situated over the extraction web of a rotary moulder or over the transfer web (after scrap lift) in the case of a rotary cutter.

The washover attachment unit consists of an applicator brush / gilding roll, transfer roll, pick-up roll, tray and reservoir tank mounted between plate sideframes.
