International biscuit makers meet at Peterborough

Baker Perkins demonstrates a complete capability for high-quality production
Biscuit makers from around the world were invited to Peterborough, UK, to view a demonstration of Baker Perkins’ complete processing capability for biscuits, cookies and crackers.
Baker Perkins is a world leader with more than a century of know-how in the supply of complete systems to make every variety of biscuit, with equipment at work in over 80 countries around the world.

The visitors saw lines of equipment being completed for customers in
They included high speed dough mixers, a dough feed system, two high-capacity 1.5 metre wide sheet forming and cutting lines, and a hybrid oven with both Direct Gas Fired (DGF) and Jetcirc convection modules.
The latest simplified control systems developed by Baker Perkins’ in-house team of specialists were also demonstrated
Visitors saw the new lines being fully tested before despatch and commissioning and were able to examine in detail the latest features introduced to make the machines easier to clean and easier to use
The showcase included a question and answer session with a panel of experts from Baker Perkins plus Duncan Manley, a consultant and author of the industry standard text book "Technology of Biscuits, Cookies and Crackers".
Also on show were Baker Perkins’ facilities for rapidly providing new and reconditioned biscuit rolls, plus replacement parts for existing plant.
