A new wirecut from Baker Perkins

Date: 27 July 2007

Werner Wirecut

An alternative to uased or rebuilt equipment

Baker Perkins has extended its range of industry-standard wirecut machines for cookies to include a unit designed specifically for specialist and lower volume manufacturers.

The advantages offered by the new Werner Wirecut make it a realistic alternative to used or rebuilt equipment.

The Werner Wirecut brings reliability and low running costs to companies that have traditionally relied on used or rebuilt equipment: by comparison, the Werner Wirecut offers easier operation, easier cleaning and less maintenance, plus a 12-month warranty.

At the heart of the Werner Wirecut is Baker Perkins’ latest die technology which solves the problems of poor weight control that can adversely affect existing machines, even after rebuilding.

The uncomplicated design uses modern components and materials that keep operating, cleaning and maintenance costs to a minimum.

Smaller companies need flexibility of production, and rapid changeovers without the need for tools to maximize productivity.

The Werner Wirecut is part of Baker Perkins’ ‘build-for-stock’ program, which significantly reduces lead times on standard specification machines.

The Werner Wirecut continues a long tradition of cookie machine building in Grand Rapids, MI. Founded as the Dutch Cookie Machine Co in 1904 the company has been designing and manufacturing wirecuts, rotary molders and ovens ever since. As well as new equipment, the company offers a range of aftermarket services and is the only equipment manufacturer in the US to manufacture rotary and wirecut dies.
