On-line extruder spare parts directory
Date: 03 October 2005
Rapid development of a complex product
Baker Perkins has introduced an on-line catalogue of screw parts for its range of twin-screw extruders used world-wide in industries as diverse as powder coating and food - mainly snack and cereal
An extensive range of agitator elements is now listed on-line: customers can browse the catalogue to view parts for their machine, and e-mail enquiries for quotation.
The dedicated web site - www.extruderspares.com - contains details of over 3,000 combinations of extruder elements. These consumable wear parts are all items that snack and cereal makers need to re-order regularly, and the catalogue covers a wide range of machine sizes and models.
Other spare parts regularly required for extruders will be added to the site shortly - from oil filters to motors and gearboxes.
The site contains all the information needed in terms of machine type, size and materials, including photographs of all parts. Additional information is available via the simple e-mail link to Baker Perkins at Peterborough.
Baker Perkins believes that both regular and new customers will often find it more convenient to send a 'shopping list' via email. In particular, the ability to see the photographs and drawings on screen will make identification of the required parts much easier
All requests are acknowledged with an email containing a reference number and quotations are usually sent out the next working day. The majority of parts listed on the site are held in stock ensuring a rapid response to orders.
Information is available in French, German, Spanish and Italian as well as English.
