Dan Bassett appointed bakery business director, UK and Ireland

Dan Bassett has been appointed Business Director of the bakery equipment sector of Baker Perkins, responsible for supporting its customers in the UK and Ireland.
Dan has been with Baker Perkins for 14 years. He was responsible for supplying high-output biscuit production plants to customers in the UK and continental Europe, before becoming the Baker Perkins Commercial Manager.
Most recently he has been developing the company's Performance Services business, dedicated to optimising the productivity of customers' existing plant - including baking systems.
Dan is running the Peterborough based bakery sector team, and directing sales in the UK and Ireland. Teams dealing with customers in the UK and continental Europe are also being strengthened by the appointment of additional experienced sales engineers.
Baker Perkins is the world's largest supplier of production machinery, systems and services for the industrial bakery sector. It has over 2,000 purpose-designed and built installations producing bread, rolls, pizza and cake in 50 countries, with a century of experience in automated high-output baking.
A key element of the Baker {Perkins strategy of extending its service to customers is the upgraded Process Centre being completed at the Peterborough, UK, headquarters. Here, bakers will be able to see new equipment and processes in action, and carry out practical trials using these technologies. The Process Centre will include a broad range of equipment for the baking process from mixing through to baking and robotic handling.
