Bakerr Perkins facility for customer trials and product development
Baker Perkins has opened a new Bakery Innovation Centre at its Peterborough headquarters.
This is a complete, working bakery with a broad range of equipment from mixing through to baking. It enables customers to see new equipment and processes in action, and carry out practical trials using these technologies. The bakery is also the test-bed for Baker Perkins' fresh ideas for the bakery industry, ranging from a simple upgrade to an existing machine, to a radically new concept.
The Innovation Centre demonstrates Baker Perkins' commitment to supporting customers by offering facilities that help improve their processes and profits by taking advantage of new developments. It also offers practical solutions to production problems.
Bakers can try out new product ideas or process improvements in a controlled and confidential environment, without consuming valuable production capacity on their own plant, and using their own ingredients if required.
