We also pioneered the introduction of twin screw extruders. As well as easing cleaning and maintenance tasks, twin screw mixing is widely acknowledged to be the most versatile process for the manufacture of powder coatings.

Baker Perkins offers comprehensive support on all machines from our sales and service centres in the UK and USA. A full range of replacement parts plus engineering service and equipment upgrae packages ensure that your machine is kept running at optimum efficiency througout its life.

In recent years we have combined our engineering knowledge with the latest 3-D CAD programmes to develop a full range of 30mm - 100mm MP-PC extruders. Drawing upon the control and automation expertise of the invensys group, we can where required intergrate our machines into a complete process line with centralised controls. Options extend from basic manual operation through data logging to fully automated process lines. Our extruders are fitted with fully segmented agitators to process all types of powder formulation, including 100% micronised powders.

This range is complemented by our proven 19mm and 24mm Laboratory extruders, designed to allow processes to be developed on replicas of production sized machines. Their compact design makes them ideally suited for development projects, and they are available in various processing lengths. The Baker Perkins laboratory range also includes purpose built ancillaries. As part of our commitment to meeting our customers' process requirements, however complex, we are happy to collaborate with upstream and downstream ancillary suppliers to engineer an integrated process plant.

Alternately, we can provide a turnkey package by buying in ancillary products such as raw material premixers and product grinders ourourselves, and intergrating them into a full system.

An emergency call-out service offers 24 hour/365 day cover in the event of a breakdown, and we hold an extensive range of replacement parts for rapid response to customers needs throughout the world. We are certified to ISO9001, and all components are inspected to guarantee total quality.

Other services include regular maintenance and inspection by our team of service engineers, training courses tailored to customer requirements, and a component manufacturing service. As part of our ongoing customer care programme, we are happy to advise on refurbishments, retrofits and upgrades to the latest technologies.
