manufacture and test of tailor-made machinery–all carried out

Concept
The Baker Perkins Innovation Centre is an ideal environment in which engineers from a variety of disciplines can work with customers to develop process solutions.
Design
Mechanical, electrical and software engineers combine their abilities with those of partners in the supply chain – particularly the leaders within the automation industry. Baker Perkins exploits advanced 3D CAD systems.
Procurement & Manufacture
Baker Perkins is able to fully utilise its well-established supply chain for component manufacture. Parts can be produced in Baker Perkins’ own facilities or sourced from 3rd party suppliers. Baker Perkins is also able to use is purchasing power to source OEM components to deliver best value to the end customer.
Assembly
Baker Perkins has extensive experience in the assembly of both large-scale process equipment, and intricate, high-speed machinery. Floor space is available for complete system assembly and testing before despatch, and Baker Perkins is able to take on the full responsibility of delivery to the customer’s site. Well developed systems for equipment packing and labelling have been proven to save customers significant time and money during the installation and commissioning phase of major projects.
The Baker Perkins organisation has robust systems and resources that can adapt to the significant swings in demand inevitable within a specialist contracting business. This means that Bespoke Machinery contracts can be accepted into the system with minimal lead-time.
Baker Perkins is ISO9001 certified, and systems can be validated to FDA and cGMP standards. Baker Perkins also has pressure vessel accreditation.
Apprenticeships

Throughout its long history Baker Perkins has been committed to maintaining and improving its skills through apprenticeships and training. The practical skills and understanding of the business that our apprentices acquire stand them in good stead for careers in every area of our buiness including manufacturiing, installation & commsiioning, engineering, sales and customer services. Former apprentices are currently working at all levels in Baker Perkins, up to and including business director.
